About the Photographer

Gloria Wu

I’m a photographer based in Northern Minnesota. My journey began in Hong Kong, where I spent many years working as a designated photographer alongside my role as a center manager for a nonprofit organization. Through that experience, I learned how to connect with people from all walks of life. It continues to shape the way I work today, with attentiveness, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s story.

Since moving to the United States in 2020, I have focused my work on professional headshots, portraits, weddings, and events. My style blends cinematic and timeless aesthetics with emotionally authentic storytelling. I pay close attention to genuine expression, composition, and lighting, using both natural and studio light when needed. My approach balances thoughtful direction with natural interaction, helping clients look their best while remaining true to themselves. My goal is to create images that feel significant, enduring, and reflective of their essence.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll often find me training for my next marathon, practicing yoga, trying new recipes in the kitchen, traveling with my husband, or building Legos together. Our four beloved cats keep life entertaining and are a daily reminder to stay curious, patient, and flexible — qualities that influence both my life and my photography.

If you’re looking for a photographer who values sincerity, connection, and thoughtful craftsmanship, I would love to work with you and create something meaningful together.
